It is interesting to come back to the name Mirliton, of popular origin and which designates a woman's genital, which contemporaries have indeed seen in the type of the reverse, with the two intertwined L's surrounded by palms reminding them of a vulva surrounded by pubic hair (see J. Jambu & J.-Y. Kind, RN 2020).
