ROMAN EMPIRE. Gordian III, 238-244 AD. Sestertius (20,34 g). Struck 241-243 AD, Rome. IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind // IOVIS STATORI. S C across field. Jupiter standing front, head right, holding sceptre in right hand, cradling thunderbolt in left arm.

Very rare in this grade and beautiful portrait. Extremely fine with attractive brown "Tiber" tone and sharp details
