Roman Empire. Ocativan as Augustus, 27 BC - AD 14. AR-Denarius (18.3 mm, 3.78 g, 6h). Spanish mint (Colonia Patricia?), circa 18 BC.
Obverse: CAESARI AVGVSTO, laureate head right // Reverse: The Temple of Mars Ultor: round-domed, hexastyle temple with acroteria set on podium of three steps, an aquila between two signa within; MAR-VLT across fields.

RIC I 105a; RSC 190; BMCRE 373-4 = BMCRR Rome 4419-20; CBN 1202-4.

Lightly toned with golden hues. A banker’s mark on cheek, reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, good very fine.
