Roman Empire. Octavian as Augustus. AR-Denarius (3.67 g). North Peloponnesian mint, circa 21 BC.
Obverse: AVGVSTVS, bare head right // Reverse: IOVI OLVM, Hexastyle temple of Zeus at Olympia, seen from front, round shield in pediment and palmettes on roof.

RIC I 472; RSC 182a; BMCRE 666; CBN 939.

A beautiful specimen with an attractive reverse. Lightly toned with some iridescence around the devices. Metal flaws on obverse, otherwise, Extremely Fine.
