Roman Empire. Octavian as Augustus, 27 BC - AD 14. AR-Denarius (3.93 g). Spanish mint (Colonia Patricia?), July 18-17/16 BC.
Obverse: Bare head left // Reverse: Capricorn to right, holding globe attached to rudder, cornucopiae over its shoulder; AVGVSTVS below.

RIC I 130; RSC 22; BMCRE 307-8 (Emerita) = BMCRR Gaul 126-7; CBN 1354-7 (Nimes).

A beautiful specimen with an attractive portrait of fine style. Lightly toned with golden hues around the devices. Rare with head left. About EF.
