Obverse: Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet ornamented with three olive leaves above visor and spiral palmette on bowl, round earring with central boss, and pearl necklace //
Reverse: Owl standing right, head facing; behind, crescent and olive sprig with berry; before, legend AΘE; all within incuse square. Reverse capiton: ΑΘΕ
HGC: 4-1597.
Nice specimen, almost the entire crest of the helmet is visible. Nice deep grey patina on the reverse. Small hollow in the nose, possibly due to metal testing by a money changer.
