Arab-Sasanian. 'Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan. DA P (Fasā), dated YE 60 = AH 71-2/691-2 AD.    AR Drachm, 3.95 gr., 29.7 mm.
Obverse: crowned, draped bust in Sasanian style of Khosrau II to the right; behind head: 'may his kingship increase' in Pahlawi; before head: 'Abd al-Malik, Commander of the Faithful' in Pahlawi; in outer margin: 'bism allāh' (‘In the name of Allah’ in Kufic) and pellets above star-in-crescents; triple pellets flanking lowest star-in-crescent //
Reverse: fire altar with ribbons, flanked by attendants; above: star and crescent flanking flames; to the left: date in Pahlavi; to the right:
